Free at its cost

  • Disclaimer:
This is my personal space & the views here are purely personal. No offence is intentional.

If you are a resident of Andhra Pradesh, by this time you would have got tired of listening to this “Free” from almost of all the political parties. One party says they give free electricity power for farmers, the other says free money to unemployed and the other one says something else for free. Can they justify that they are the real solutions for the problems?

Does the unemployed person just needs free money every month? Okay, if it is correct, how long can government keep giving that money? Will the unemployed ever be motivated to work? Can the unemployed ever improve his quality of life with this scheme? OK, they wanted to help them out, but have you ever seen the whole benefit reaching the real intendents? What are the measures you are taking to make sure that the funds are not misused? How much is the burden on government->state->people by giving everything free?

Free electricity power given for 6 hours to the farmers. I really feel ashamed when I hear this statement and all the political parties are competing to give 6hrs, 12hrs and whole day free. Who needs this all damn? Electricity is the only problem for farmers? Let’s have a look at the problems they have.

    Lack of quality seeds
    Scarcity of fertilizers
    Power cut
Lack of awareness about modern cultivation methods
    Lack of transport & warehousing
Unable to get reasonable price for the products.

When we have these many problems to solve, why are we just behind the free power usage? If you are giving it for free, they can never realize the value of it or end up in misusing it. Instead, make sure to supply quality seeds. Empower them with the ability to find out if they are of good quality or not. Concentrate on power generation, so they don’t have power cut. Not every farmer can buy expensive machinery for modernized cultivation. You buy them and start renting out to them with reasonable prices. Encourage the R&D on this. Let them adopt the new trends in cultivation and attain good productivity. In none other countries, people are at loss in doing cultivation except in ours. Because they are restructuring the methods and getting fruitful results. But here, I personally never saw any thing new here since my grandparent’s age. Pardon my ignorance if I am not right here.

Basically, no one is interested to presume agriculture sector, because these days it’s a loss making activity. After crossing all the bottlenecks, at end they don’t get right price. It’s because of middle men’s intervention. Farmers cannot spend much on transportation & warehousing, instead they want to sell it off for any price to middle men. What if government come forward & provide these facilities? Of course, not for free of cost, but at a reasonable charge.

After all, anything that is given for “free” would not be effective. “Free” cannot improve the efficiency; it can only be a burden on government. With the increased burden on government yet no improvement in efficiency, Can you say that state is in healthy position? If any one really wants to see the growth in state or in any sector, the focus should be on improving the productivity.

Do not give free power, but keep us in a position to pay our bills while making the profits. We do not want anything to come “free”. After all, we are not beggars or do not want to become beggars. We want to empower ourselves with the ability to purchase the things we want. Introduce the quality systems with long term results. Not for the short term goal of vote banking.

Compromise

Hmm..this is one thing where I keep hearing different opinions from different people and sometimes different opinions from same people in different situations.Compromise…..for few it’s something that takes away their individuality, freedom and many more. For others, it gets happiness, relaxation and often good relationships too.

In my opinion..There is nothing wrong. Getting compromised is not as bad as it normally be perceived by large number of people. It’s some thing like give and take policy. You compromise and adjust on something to get something else that you weigh more. Otherwise you don’t compromise, it’s just that simple. So after all, why do you regret for the compromise you made? Why do you keep cribbing that I’m compromised due to this? At the end, it’s your wish. You wanted to let something go for the one you deliberately wanted to let in.
People say there should be a limit for everything. Again, everyone will have their own limits. You set your limit. Choose whether or not to compromise before you do it with all supporting calculations. Once you made it, don’t regret. Don’t crib. Don’t feel sorry. Don’t be self-pity. Don’t feel down. Whatever you make, make it with pride. Be happy with the compromise you made. Enjoy the fruits.

Never make statements like I’m compromised to join in Degree rather to join in Engineering as my parents can’t afford it. There you kept your parents in comfort position. Start liking the degree and try to excel there to reach higher position.

Never regret after getting married to a dark complexioned spouse against your wish to get a fair one. The truth is that you have surrendered yourself to the good qualities of the other. So, start making the life and enjoy every moment.

Never feel self-pity as you can’t buy diamond necklace due to the budget constraints. You did your calculations; otherwise, you would have waited some more time for the diamond one rather the gold necklace you bought now. There is a lot of life before; you can get them anytime later.

For the things you cannot change now, start to love them.
For the things you can change, aspire and work to get the shape you want.

Accept the life as it comes to you and keep smiling in every moment. After all, life is very short; don’t let any single moment go unproductive for you.

Sanju's tactics

Normally once the DH is back from shop around 10:30, he makes sure to take her out for a ride. Sanju always insists me to join. There was never a day she went alone with my hubby when i am home.
Yesterday was little different, soon she saw her dad coming in, she ran out and they both went out. I just got slipped out of her mind. After the return, i told her that i am not going to speak to her as she didnt call me for the ride. She kept a sorry face and told this dialogue -
"Its dark outside, i was worried that you get scared". Huh!!! I have no option except to feel good as she is SSSSOOO..... CARING :(
